Bar View DataPlayers

Make your bar charts dynamic and interactive

Bar View DataPlayers can be used in many different configurations, with filters on either or both sides. Users can change the values being charted, based on a menu of options you provide.

Bar View- Human Resources Example

In the example below, use the drop-down arrow next to Number of records (in this DataPlayer, records = people) to change the values being graphed to Current Salary or Sick Days taken. Also try changing the Split by: value from Location to Organisational level. After changing the values and/or the Split by column next to it, use the Filter Bar query devices to further refine the new display, for example by ticking a specific Age range category. Move the vertical slider bars up and down to see all available filter devices.

Use the Filter Bar tick box to focus on just one location, say London. The number of bars displayed reduces to one, because the active split is by Location. Use the drop down selector under Split by to change the split to another data column, and the number of bars increases again. At any time, you can click Details and cycle through all the remaining records using Next > and < Previous options in the details window. Click X to close the details window and Reset to relax all filters and return all records to the view.
